@ The Sage.
Unfortunately, I had prior commitments which I had been committed to from October 2009 in the Waterfront Hall. I made this clear to the returning officer as well as all the candidates at the Candidate Meeting (at which the other presidential candidate wasn't at due to prior commitments also).
I do not see this as a job for a CV but a job to service the student body, to stand up for their rights, welfare and to represent them. If anyone ever has any problems with any work that I am carrying out etc, you can get me at su.vpcampaigns@qub.ac.uk and I will be more than to meet with you!
Finally, thanks to all those who voted for me for Students' Union President. I will work extremely hard for EVERYONE next year! I would also like to congratulate all other candidates who ran and to my team mates who helped make the election so worthwhile and enjoyable!
Gareth
Haha, I can't believe he didn't turn up to the Result's night. And this from the man who said he wanted to be a more visible president???? Visible where?
The new President couldn't even be bothered to turn up at the results night, think that's a sign of things to come. Another little something to add to his CV though which I'm sure is all he cares about. It's about time students started voting for those who want to represent the students as opposed those who simply look after number 1
What a night!
What an executive for next year! Well pity about the President but you cant win them all, hope his record next year is a lot better than what he has produced this year!
Anderson for the big job next year!!
Well done to all who was fighting for Team Dan, great job guys!
Congratulations Niall Bole. I can't wait to see what happens now we have finally got someone who actually wants the job in order to make a change.
i'm so pleased with the overall result, everyone i voted for got in, and the overwhelming fear of connelly becoming VP has been quashed thank god. the year ahead llok promising, hope they all live up to their promises.
Certain campaigners didn't help their cause by giving out sinn fein sweets and singing offensive political songs at the front of the union
It seemed the best person won in a lot of cases! Thank goodness no pantless Redpath or con man Connelly and well done Niall Bole!
Seems like this is truly the best team possible!mcgreevey seems like a bit of a muppet but seems to live for his job so fair dues
He did it, he actually did it! Niall Bole has broken a 14 year long streak by the GAA by being elected as VPCS.
To all the societies in Queens especially the Dragonlayers and the Christian Union who campaigned so hard. None of this would have been possible without your support, this is a huge change for clubs and societies!
Congratulations Niall, We Believe in the Beard
Say it with me now c-c--c-c-c-combo breaker!
thank goodness the best presidential candidate won maybe the union can go back to being a democracy and not a dictatorship
Speaking of seeing the result in the flesh, did anyone else see Barry Duffy stripping off outside the Union this afternoon?
Made me chuckle plenty.

Fantastic results!! Great to the the GAA-law ticket turned over by Team Critchlow, unfortunate about the Presidents post, but in fairness i have to say Gareth seems a decent lad and by far the least objectionable on the GAA-law ticket in my own opinion.
@ Sidney the Squid...
Agree totally about that repulsive campaign of Grace Lynch's for Equality/Diversity. I had in some ways a degree of respect in that at least she was up front and honest about what she stood for...which was certainly not Equality in anything other than an Orwellian sense...Thank goodness though she was soundly annihilated at the ballot box...
