Students climbed railings to pitch thirty tents in Dublin last night for a Sleep Out protest over rogue landlords.  There may be plans for a similar protest at Queen’s.

LETTER: “End of an era” as Bookshop closes

Dear Sir,

Today marks the end of an era with the closing of the Bookshop at Queen’s . This independent bookshop has nurtured the needs of students for over 53 years. This closure brings to an end the first-class advice and guidance given to students and the public. The Bookshop at Queen’s serviced all the needs of students and staff from every department in the University and it is a travesty that we have allowed this centre of learning to close as a result of ignorance by Sir Peter Gregson.

LETTER: A tribute to Queen’s Bookshop

This Saturday (20th August) marks the end of an era for one of Belfast’s most prestigious Bookshops. This is however not just a Bookshop; it is a centre of excellence, knowledge and intellect. NEWS: Queen’s phones crash as A-Level results released

Phone lines at Queen’s crashed on Thursday due the volume of calls Admissions received about A-level results. According to member of staff all departments were affected.  Attempts to contact different areas of the university were met with engaged tones.

REVIEW: Rise of the Planet of the Apes

The Planet of the Apes franchise consists of five original films, two TV series, a rather confusing Tim Burton remake and now – a reboot. Rupert Wyatt’s Rise of the Planet of the Apes serves as a prequel to the 1968 science fiction film Planet of the Apes.

RETRACTION

It’s been brought to our attention that the article “Homophobic assault at Pride” may contain factual errors. We have no evidence to suggest that Connor Kerr was assaulted aside from his word.  The article has been removed pending an investigation.
