It costs at least £80 for a ticket to see Fleetwood Mac. It costs £35 to see their rumoured best support act Rumours of Fleetwood Mac. Or Mac Fleetwood is a tenner. So the same price as their Greatest Hits but you can drink and dance in front of people so it is slightly less odd. The Royal Wedding may have gifted the majority of the population an extended bank holiday weekend, but it was hard work and ceremonies of a different kind which were to occupy the men and women of the Queen’s University Boat Club. 14 times were the rowers to mount the medal podium, 7 of these on the top spot, across the three days of the British Universities Championships, held at the National Watersports centre in Nottingham. Change is not a word which is often associated with politics in Northern Ireland; we have been fighting the same issues and the same questions for at least the last 90 years. The same parties having the same tired arguments. But change is possible. At the last election, the Alliance Party vote grew right across Northern Ireland in almost every constituency, and Naomi Long created headlines when she was elected MP East Belfast. Many people right across Northern Ireland chose to vote for a positive, fair and shared future.
