This is the sort of album that ruins everything. Essays, exams, work, life… simply through distraction. It’s not possible to do anything whilst listening to it. Laura Marling has graduated from being a prodigy to a fully fledged genius, and she’s not even twenty years old yet.

I’ve struggled with this album. On the first listen I thought it had potential. Their debut album ‘St. Jude’ didn’t have much to say but was fun and pacey Manchurian lad rock. ‘Falcon’ takes the same formula and slows it to half the pace in an attempt to be taken seriously. However, they often end up sounding just like any other band and coupled with lacklustre lyrics, “I think it’s time for me and you, To take over the world,” there really isn’t anywhere for them to go.
