Being a self-confessed fashion-sceptic and a firm non-believer in the “label-orientated” couture culture that seems to engage so many of the female species in the past few decades, I must admit I was pleasantly surprised with documentarist RJ Cutler’s ”The September Issue”. An attempt to slice underneath the glossy layer of the fashion industry’s most iconic and influential “bible”; the spectacularly luxurious “Vogue”.

NEWS: Rape crisis centre in crisis

The Rape Crisis and Sexual Abuse Centre (NI) has set up “The Charity Shop” at 130-132 Albertbridge Rd, Belfast BT5 4GS, to raise desperately needed funds to keep their advice and counselling centre open in Belfast.
“The Charity Shop” sells new and nearly new adults and childrens clothing and footwear. Also on sale is a wide variety of bric-a-brac, ceramics, books, CDs, DVDs, videos, toys, handbags, jewellery, toiletries, candles, incense and much much more.
During October, a Christmas section will also be set up in “The Charity Shop” selling everything from Christmas ornaments and Christmas candles to Christmas stockings and Christmas cards.

So if you are passing be sure to pop in for a nosey around The Charity Shop at 130-132 Albertbridge Road in East Belfast.
