Posters belonging to candidates Niall McDermott (VPCS), Niamh McKernan (VPCS), and Fionnuala McKenna (VP Education), caused concern for residents in the Holylands today as cars were targeted in their canvassing campaign resulting in unsightly littering.

A meeting took place in the PFC this evening for students living in streets in the Holylands and Stranmillis which have generated the most complaints. Community Relations officer Gordon Douglas lead the meeting, with VP Community Laura Hawthorne and SU President Shane Brogan both in attendance.

Residents in the Holylands area awoke to the noise of “drunk students” last night, and discovered them in the process of vandalizing young trees outside their property.
Update: All students from one particular street will face a “mock disciplinary” to curtail problems in the area, in which they will be further educated on their responsibilities while living in a residential area.
