Students who volunteer to help run the programme will also receive credit towards their Degree Plus Award, which is run by Queen’s to ensure that students are able to expand on their CVs and receive university approved recognition for their volunteer work.

At a cost of just £10, this card has the potential to save you lots of cash on the high street and the internet, especially if you’re buying presents in the festive season.

For an extra pound, you can also upgrade the card to incorporate the internationally recognised Student Identity Card (ISIC)- a real necessity for all student travel, and other European and worldwide discounts.
