REVIEW: Westlife – Gravity

Wednesday, December 15th, 2010

After a year-long break, Ireland’s most successful boy band, Westlife, have returned to the limelight with their eleventh album, Gravity. Previous to its release the band claimed this is the album “they have always wanted to make”, yet listening to the tracks, it is not quite clear why, because although the sound is perhaps more mature, it is not wholly distinguishable from their previous ten releases.

FEATURES: All I want for Christmas

Friday, December 10th, 2010

What’s on your Christmas list this year? The latest experience in gaming entertainment á la Kinect, a Winter get-a-way break to somewhere hot and sunny, or is it yet another Mac-inspired updated gadget? When it comes to what we want for Christmas, we’re pretty spoiled for choice. But when considering what we can realistically afford in these difficult economic times, our illusions of foreign beaches and dancing into the privacy of our Television screens (control free!) sadly fades away. Unfortunately gifts don’t just appear out of thin air, and this means we have to think a little bit more creatively when it comes down to Christmas shopping on a budget.  And here are a few ideas to get your festive thoughts flowing.
