After the success of their self-titled debut album, which featured light-hearted floor fillers like ‘Stabbed’ and ‘Daddy’s Gone’ Glasvegas faced the question which has been bamboozling artists for decades – namely, is it still acceptable to sing about social workers and young offenders institutions when you’re a multi-millionaire rock star who lives in LA, surrounded by cocktails and recreational drugs?

On Thursday 14 April 2011 members of the QUB Wado Ryu Karate Club took part in fundraiser with a difference. The club was trying to think of ways to raisemoney for the earthquake victims and they came up with the unique idea of £1 1 Punch and the wheels were put in motion. David Bradley fromthe Student Union wanted a disclaimer saying it has to be signed before they could punch. We complied with this and on Thursday night 14 April between 6.30 and 9.30pmthe Club raised £396.55.
TT street racing, despite its continuing controversies, is embedded into the sporting culture of my home country, Northern Ireland. Every year avid bike fans will come from all over the world to spectate, participate and experience the legendary North West 200.
